CARTA Negroamaro

THE WINE
Carta Negroamaro is cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks and in glass lined cement vats. The wine is transferred to the Villa Puccini winery in coastal Tuscany, not far from Pisa.
No oak is used in the aging process, thus purely conserving the varietal character of the Negroamaro grape. Although the wine will age gracefully for a couple of years, we recommend that you enjoy it young and fresh.

THE VINE
Negroamaro is considered to be Puglia’s most important varietal. It is blended with Malvasia Nera to make popular village wines, such as Salice Salentino, Copertino and Leverano. Although sometimes used for pink wines, it is best suited for intense and vigorous reds.
