Altos Nevados

THE VINE
Argentina has one of the most ideal climates in the world for growing wine grapes, and is famous for Malbec. The grapes are harvested from the eastern region of Mendoza which is the premier wine growing region in Argentina.

THE WINE
At 4000 ft above sea level, the air is cooler, the sun is brilliant and intense. In the
distance the snow settles gently on the peaks of the Andes mountains. Condors can be seen gliding in the wind currents high above. This is where the wine begins. This elevated vineyard located in La Consulta produces low yield grapes ideal for very high quality wine. A natural wine from a natural place.

Grapes
Malbec 100%

Characteristics
A deep garnet red color with a nose of plums and hints of toasted mocha, chocolate and licorice.

Food Affinities
In the mouth, hints of fresh plum, strawberry and raspberry with zesty acidity. Great for pairing with lamb chops.
