GRAPE VARIETY
100% Montepulciano

LOCATION
Abruzzo region
(Central Italy) in the area of Chieti

VINEYARD
About 30 ha at an altitude of 400-500 mt above sea level where the soil is a mix of clay and sand and the influence of the Adriatic Sea is very pronounced.
Growing of grapes without use of any pesticides or chemical agents. Hand-made harvest in the second half of September

VINIFICATION
Traditional fermentation of must for about 10 days with skins at 26° -28° C.

MATURATION
in temperature controlled stainless steel vats for 6 months then a short period in the bottle.

CHARACTERISTICSDeep ruby red; bouquet is intense and fruity with a persistent aroma of spices and licorice. The taste is full, warm with well balanced tannins

ALCOHOLIC CONTENT
13 % vol.

SERVING TEMPERATURE 18 - 20 °C.

FOOD COMBINATIONS
Main courses, pasta with all meat sauces, roasted and grilled meats, especially lamb.
